From here I can see Ireland's Eye

Stuff - you know... really I should just write down in a diary and burn it...

I agree with Avril Lavigne

You know, when the people who run avril-lavigne.com get around to making the next list of her top 100 fans, I may not be on it... In fact, I'm pretty sure I'm not even in the top 1000...

But, when she says "Why'd you have to go and make things so complicated" you just have to agree...

No, this is not a post about Avril Lavigne - I just realised that I'm popping up on irishblogs.ie now - and they lift the first couple of lines to draw your attention... So, it's a cheap device to get your attention, Sorry, there will be no further Avril Lavigne references - so if that's what you were hoping for - post an angry comment and get the hell out of here...

Oh and there won't be any Rick references either - although, in fairness he did post a picture of two wasps shaggin' today, which is up there with one of the weirdest things I've ever seen...

Now, what was i saying?

Oh yes, I'm wrestling with a document, if I were a native American in a Kevin Costner movie, that would be my new name "Wrestles with Documents"... I'd probably be the village accountant or something... Unfortunately the wrestling so far has not actually extended to writing the damn thing... I'm bouncing it around my head - and getting nowhere...

I know, I just need to sit down and write it - and listening to the Prodigy's greatest hits - which I am at the moment, is hardly going to help... They were great though

I've always had this process when I had to write something, I kind of mentally assemble elements I need, then sort of put them in a saucepan and literally visualise them on a back burner... Then when I need to write it - at the last minute - it just sort of appears...

I hope that's what will happen this time..

I do admire those who spend hours crafting and polishing blog entries... really putting together clear and coherent thoughts... and there are two blogs I'd recommend for just that kind of thing...

Thinking out Loud

and

Just One Bite

much better writing then my half baked ramblings... Enjoy... Now I'm off to dance around the room to "Smack My Bitch Up" and start this damn document...

Hello...

Back once again... and not a reference in sight or in site to my Blogsessive friend...

What a terribly depressing evening that turned out to be... In fact it was even worse than I thought... I'm talking about the dismal failure of the irish soccer team to score a simple goal and get to the World Cup Finals...

It was one of those games where you can tell from the second minute that we're not going to win... and then you stay watching and waiting and shouting and screaming and cursing and groaning - but nothing changes...

We were shit

All except Shay Given who once again made an entirely impossible save to keep Ireland in the game...

Alexander Frei has the ball, he's clear on goal... No defense in sight and Given actually stumbled as he was coming towards him.

The urge to turn away in depair was pretty strong...

But Given recovered, steps forward - arms out and more or less beckons Frei on - daring him to take the shot

He shoots

Given palms it away

Shouldn't happen - but it did... And you think - we might do it... That's the bit of luck...

But it wasn't

And we didn't

Ah well... Sack Brian Kerr please

He really is Blogsessive you know...

There's a real danger that this is going to turn into a Rick O'Shea tribute blog...

Already he has me signed up to Site Meter and delighting at a visitor from Dubai... now he points out that I've lost all my links... Jeez Louise...

Worst of all I'm listening to that damn radio show of his and once again loving the music, and I know he's trying to be difficult and awkward but it sort of works... check it out yourself - www.rte.ie/2fm - 10 to midnight Monday to Thursday... The Revs into the Strokes for godsake - what's not to love....

Ok enough advertising other people's work... Although I've sworn that I will not talk about my own work or workplace on this blog... So i guess I'm suffering workplace transference... I did work there once you know... 2fm that is, not in Rick's house.. or on the staff of his blog or whatever...

Anyway...

Now, I could tell you a fascinating story about my weekend adventures... which included an entirely inappropriate and unofficial stay in the Burlington Hotel... a great night out by anyone's standards

But, that story involves several people who must remain nameless...

Hmmm... I've rambled on and on and ultimately said nothing... Not a bad place to end.

Let me offer you a photo instead - I understand the current market rate for photo's is approximately a thousand words...
